Oh the urge to be lazy how I hate thee!

Why is there always this urge to be lazy on a weekly basis? Then after the urge, there is always this inner debate where you ask your self questions like this:
“How many times have I gone to the gym this week?”

“Have I really ate that much junk food this week already?”

“I am still young… shouldn’t I enjoy the chance to sleep in and be lazy while I still can?”

At least if you aren’t thinking these questions on a daily basis, I sure am. I really have been trying to stay active and eat healthy these last couple of years. I would say the eating healthy part isn’t too hard. The key is to not have any junk food in your house. That way there is no temptations. Oh wait, except the twenty fast food places you pass on the way home from work. That is the hardest part of eating healthy for me. I love french fries, have since I was a little girl! Staying active aka going to the gym is the hardest battle for me. I love being at the gym once I am there, it is just getting me there is the hard part. Most weeks I manage to make an appearance to the gym 3 to 4 times. Ok, well maybe not the gym, but if I am not there I will go running with my dog.
However, the week before I went to Cabo I didn’t do anything, but be lazy. Yeah, I know, why the heck would you be lazy the week before going to a bikini sporting place like Cabo? You think I would have been hitting the gym double time that week. Heh, what ya going to do? I still think I didn’t look too shabby. There always is room for improvement.
Anyways, the whole point of this blog is that I need to start working out again since I am officially done with my vacation AND summer is only a few months away. It is amazing how fast you loose the work you achieved at the gym. I need to make sure I sport that bikini as much as I can before the next summer where I will have my nose in a book about teeth all the time! :-D

  2. I know what you mean! I love the gym once I'm there...but getting there is definitely the problem. I can usually do the eating healthy part with little to no difficulty, but it's much harder to get my butt on the elliptical for sure! But this post has inspired me to at least do some crunches today :)
